Great At Vision was honored to take part in a key national event for the future of sanitation in Burundi: the validation workshop of the roadmap and Strategic Action Plan for Liquid Sanitation (PASA) for the provinces of Bujumbura and Gitega. Our CEO proudly represented the company during these important sessions aligned with the country’s sanitation and development agenda.
Supporting National Efforts Toward the SDGs
This workshop was organized as part of Burundi’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ensuring universal access to safely managed sanitation by 2030. Supported by the World Bank and held in collaboration with the Ministry of Mineral, Energy Resources, Industry, Trade and Tourism (MRMEICT), the workshop brought together key sector stakeholders to validate national strategic orientations for liquid sanitation.
Two Sessions: Gitega and Bujumbura
The workshop took place in two phases:
December 10, 2025 in Gitega at Helena Hotel
December 11, 2025 in Bujumbura at Martha Hotel
These sessions created an ideal platform to review and validate the key components of the national roadmap.
Main Objectives of the Workshop
Present and validate the national roadmap for safely managed sanitation
Clarify the roles and responsibilities of all involved stakeholders
Establish a monitoring mechanism for the implementation of the roadmap
