Thierry Ndabigengesere

Thierry Ndabigengesere is the CEO and Founder of Great At Vision Group, a leading WASH (Water, Hygiene and Sanitation) company in Burundi. His commitment to advancing public hygiene is rooted in a deeply personal experience: during the funeral of his father, Thierry witnessed his diabetic mother struggle to find a toilet. With no facilities available, he was forced to hide her behind his car so she could relieve herself in privacy. This painful moment opened his eyes to the urgent need for dignified and accessible sanitation in Burundi.

Thierry also places strong emphasis on climate change mitigation, environmental protection, and circular-economy solutions. Under his leadership, Great At Vision promotes eco-friendly waste management, protects water resources, and invests in innovative approaches such as waste-to-fertilizer transformation (Biochar) — a process that converts organic waste into sustainable soil-enhancing products. This initiative supports greener agriculture while reducing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

With more than 14 years of experience in business development and sanitation services, Thierry has guided Great At Vision to become a national reference in portable toilets, public hygiene facilities, and vacuum-truck waste management. He is dedicated to public health, dignity, environmental sustainability, and innovation for the future of Burundi.
